Yasiin Bey Arrested With Fake Passport in South Africa
Yasiin Bey was arrested on Thursday at Cape Town International Airport in South Africa for violating local immigration laws.
Formerly known as Mos Def, the rapper and actor produced a fraudulent passport while attempting to leave the country.
Bey appeared in court after the arrest for the violation, where he received an order to exit South Africa.
The performer entered South Africa with an American passport in 2013 but has overstayed his visitor's permit.
According to the nation's Department of Home Affairs, he has 14 days to leave the country.
