Black Ice born as Gary Palmer in St Ann, Jamaica immigrated to New Jersey, USA, as a young child. After finishing high school, he joined the US Navy for a four year term. Afterwards, he headed west, graduating with a B.S. degree in Engineering from Long Beach State University.
During his early years, he said that music was always an integral part of his upbringing. He has always loved listening to all genres of music but said that he was most influenced by the musical legends Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, Peter Tosh and Marvin Gaye.
He describes his music as being positive, uplifting, inspiring yet edgy and real. Black Ice believes his inspiration comes from a higher calling.

Look for Black Ice, he went back to Jamaica at the end of July to promote the release of “Red-a Red”, He also shoot scenes from a new video “Mi-Slim-Ting” to be released by the end of 2018. While in Jamaica he reunited with his family at their first family reunion. The trip was an absolute success!!! More updates to come soon.
